This blog is about the power of prayer and ESP. The power of prayer is similar to the power of thought. In my experience each requires using specific words and direct communication.

We each have systems of belief that governs us. Ours may differ. I share mine to offer the framework from which I operate. I believe in God and a higher form of consciousness. I believe spirit lives within us, is interactive and independent of logic. Once a person dies, the soul departs and lives on, and in order to connect with that aspect of another, one must be open to this part within them self.

I started actively praying out loud, more “religiously” while studying N.L.P. and hypnosis.  I was interested in viable outcomes. Does specific language affect the power of prayer and ESP? To enter a meditative state, or do inner change work, we use directives to access the Subconscious Mind. I developed a personal prayer which includes asking to receive current, relevant information, clearly seeing and hearing what is going on.

Some years back, I worked at a Metaphysical Bookstore. It was a slow day at the store.  I was greatly relieved when a woman approached and asked if I was available to do an Intuitive Reading. Before we began, I told her about my traditional training as a psychotherapist and how I use my intuition as tool to offer additional insight. I asked her to give me a key word like, a first name, or relationship, to ascertain the most information without clues.

 “Tell me about my husband” she said. I took her hands, closed my eyes and heard, “He is completely debilitated. I see him lying in bed trapped, imprisoned in his body. He feels powerless and impotent, and for a man who lived such a vigorous life, existing like this is torture!” I opened my eyes and my client looked intently at me and said, “This is exactly how he was in the hospital. He died ten days ago.” “Oh my, I am so sorry to hear this” I said. We spoke further and I continued. “Do you want me to try and communicate with his spirit? I do not know what will happen, but I will do my best.” “Yes, if you can, that would be wonderful” she said.

I took her hands again. First, I saw what looked like a small treasure box. It was dark leather with an ornate leather strap, decorative latch and keyhole. I described this to her keeping my eyes shut. Now I am hearing, “Find the box. The box has important papers in it, but more importantly, it has a ring. The ring is what you must find!” I opened my eyes and she smiled at me as tears filled her eyes. “I did find the box! It looks like a treasure box as you described, and I found the ring!” As she spoke I heard more. “This is his mother’s ring” I said. “Yes it is, and there is a funny story about this ring.

My husband and I were married for forty years. I asked if I could have the ring years ago, when we first met. He told me he didn’t want to give it to me, because he was afraid I’d lose it”…

“I guess he feels you’ve earned it after forty years” I chuckled. “He truly wanted you to have this ring. There was such urgency in the voice I heard. It is also very unusual for me to hear a voice that differs from my own!  I hope that finding the ring at this point, and hearing his urgent wish to you, coming through me, affirms his love and the power of prayer.”

As our session ended, she said, “I was planning to get a psychic reading when I went to Mt. Shasta. There are so many psychics up there. When I saw you, I changed my mind. I knew I wanted to have a session with you instead”…
